By using the ultrasonic technology in USE 33, crystalline structures of calcium phosphate, magnesium phosphate and calcium carbonate are shattered quickly and in a targeted manner. This enables rapid and cell-friendly decalcification when using suitable fixing and decalcifying solutions, e.g. USEDECALC or USERAPID decalcifying solution. Infiltration processes of fixing, decalcifying and intermediate media are significantly accelerated. In conjunction with the USEDECALC or USERAPID solutions, the decalcification time is shortened by up to 75% for bone marrow biopsies, femoral heads, nasal and auditory cartilages, and material containing a lot of corticalis is reduced to 40 to 60%. Intact cell tissue is available for morphological and immunohistochemical examinations.
The heat generated by the ultrasonic energy input is compensated for by a cooling unit. The digital temperature control thus ensures a constant temperature range that is optimal for the descaling process, which is usually around 16 – 18 ° C. As a result, the morphology and antigenicity are 100% preserved. There are neither shrinkage artifacts nor swelling of the tissue. All further histo- and immunohistological methods can be used.Various sample inserts for 4, 9 or 49 samples are available separately.
